Family first aid
Mums and Dads! Would you know what to do if your baby stopped breathing? What about if your toddler choked on a toy? How serious is a fever? ; Tummy upsets? Bumps on the head?
Learn about choking, CPR, burns, fevers, concussion, allergic reactions, and lots more. How do you know if your baby is unwell? When do you need to see a doctor? When should you call an ambulance?
Practice First Aid techniques on manikins. Plus tips on making your home and garden safe for littlies. A practical, child-focused First Aid Course run by a former Ambulance Paramedic, experienced First Aid Instructor and Mum to two young children. Courses are booked on an ongoing basis as groups of 12 who are interested are found!

How much of your time does it take? Plunket volunteers can give as much or as little time as they want – no contribution is too small.
What can Plunket offer you?

• Local training programmes for specialist skills and self-development
• Build up a support network of new friends – great if you are new to the area
• The chance to up skill and/or practice the skills you might have gained pre-children
• Experience in meeting procedure and protocol
• The chance to try something new.
