The Role Of Plunket

Plunket services in the area are provided by a team of health professionals, made up of Plunket nurses, Karitane and Plunket Kaiawhina, volunteers and staff providing non-clinical support. Plunket nurses are all registered nurses who have completed post graduate studies in child and family health. Karitane and Kaiawhina have completed level 4 courses approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. Their training is comprehensive and focuses on the promotion and maintenance of family health for family/whanau.
